Instant Parking Space Provided
Hallstatt Village, Austria –
If you have ever been to Hallstatt in Austria you would know how difficult it is to find a parking space. This is what me and my family experienced when we went there on August 16, 2020.
From Bled, Slovenia, we took our time in the morning to visit Hallstatt, we didn’t know that it was very difficult to park there so we arrived late. There are 3 parking lots at Halltats, when we arrived all 3 were full but we took our chance to go to the last parking lot where buses can park. This too, was full and the parking manager is already annoyed at those who wait telling each and everyone of the drivers in queue to go to the next village to park. If you are familiar with the place, you know that this parking lot itself is already very far from the tourist point, you would have to walk far back and forth just for a visit of the village. My husband queued until he got aggresively told to take the next village’s parking. This scene stressed him and suggested we skipped the destination. He was seconded by my daughters but I told them not to give up. My husband tried to drive to the next village to see if there was a parking lot with available slot but even the next village do not have any. He was more than convinced to give-up seeing the cars parked everywhere they could at the risk of getting a ticket. The tone of his voice was irritated telling me that it was not his fault if he cannot find a parking space. Nobody was blaming him, he just wanted me to give-up the idea. My nerve was also raising because of the situation as as I feel myself being contaminated with irritation, I decided to pray in my mind. Then I calmly told my husband not to leave but to go back one last time to check for a parking space near Hallstatt Village. On the way, we saw hopeless faces of drivers trying to get a parking space, my husband and daughters did expect to get any either, but a miracle happened, parking space 1 got 1 space liberated right in front of us, as if it was reserved to us. The parking manager did not say anyword and let us took that one spot, not even thinking if there were already some cars who entered to get it. This story for me is an instant answered prayer that I cannot attribute to luck due to the alsmot impossible circumstance.
